Located at the tip of South America, bordering the southern part of Peru with its western border facing the countries of Bolivia and Argentina, lies the beautiful, exotic country of Chile, a land that abounds in scenic splendor. The slender strip of country land runs along for 1000s of miles and amazingly consists of varying climates.

While one end of the captivating landscape soaks in the tropical climate at Arica, the other extreme of Punta Arenas falls close to the freezing Antarctica. The magnificent Andes Mountain range covers the eastern border, encompassing one-third of the country. But what is most enchanting about Chile is that you can be in the Atacama Desert, the most dry and sunbaked area of the world and yet be looking at cold snow-laden mountains and the Pacific Ocean on either side of it. Such is the enrapturing beauty of Chile.

The attraction does not end here since you still have an abundance of over-the-top natural marvels to explore, such as the prehistoric forests of Parque Nacional Chiloe, the lush vineyards, sparkling lakes, the colossal plains, the astoundingly beautiful mesh of fjords, glaciers and islands.

Aside from the beautiful natural environment, Chile also consists of the most modern and highly advanced cities, robust in culture and with an fascinating historical past. Travel in Chile is not only filled with mystifying adventures but it is awe-inspiring and full of secrets waiting to be found.

The place abounds in all kinds of outdoor activities that could captivate not only the hard core adventurer but also other tourists alike. You can opt to explore an active volcano, brave the white-water rapids or simply row through the mesmerizing fjords. You can even opt to go hiking, paragliding, horseback riding, skiing and the list goes on.

Santiago, the biggest metropolis and the capital of Chile is encircled by the Andes mountains and another chain of mountains that runs along its coast. It has a picturesque contrast of traditional villages and modernistic high-rise buildings, making it come alive with vivacious beauty. It is the center of all tourist activity and hence has a broad range of hotels and eateries to select from, apart from which, it has some substantial museums and many other likeable tourist spots to visit including malls and amusement parks.

Valparaiso, is the chief seaport of Chile and a center of bustling trade with European countries. Enveloped by the Concepcion and the Alegre mountains, the city reflects a fascinating blend of culture, tradition, history and modernism. The most striking feature of the city is that of the little trains that wind up and down the steep slopes, chugging along the colorful houses that mark the attractive landscape.

Other interesting places are the Iquique, El Norte Grand, Cruce de Lagos, Torres del Paine, San Pedro de Atacama, Rancagua, Valdivia including many other tantalizing destinations. Each one of these places has a personality and charm of its own, bathing in cultural, historical and picturesque beauty.

The endless attractions of Chile lure thousands of tourists each year but not satiated by a single trip, they keep coming for more because every visit gives them something new to explore. Traveling to Chile is like, touring a magical land where mystery and surprises meet you at every point and therefore it can be called the land of miracles.
